weekend fun
our "weekend" starts on thursday nights. Since asah usually has fridays off i consider thurs-sat our weekends. this particular weekend began with a bang. every thursday night our friends mark and megan come over for our "office party". we always tivo the office and watch together. asah wanted some cookies, so we had the idea of making office cookies with the characters names on them (and ours too). we're complete dorks. on a sad note, the office writers are some of the ones on strike so next weeks episode is the last until it's resolved. bummer.
then friday i watched jadyn and jordan. jadyn is only a couple months older than J and they play well together. here are a few pics and a video. it was a fun morning.
this particular activity is called "put the wrapping paper in the washing machine." dont' criticize! it kept them very busy for awhile.
to round out the weekend fun we went to the southeastern homecoming parade. for some reason jordan would not nap in the early pm, so it was around 3 and he'd had NO nap. wow. he was a bit overwhelmed at all the noises (fire trucks, bands, etc) but he hung in there. we went with the chance crew. what a bunch of cutie pies.
our husbands were out of town. we are two brave mamas, huh?
notice the episcopal teens in the backround. i felt terrible. we were right in front of their church, attending a parade, and there was a funeral going on. we even got in trouble for letting our kids play in the courtyard prior to the funeral. bad timing for a parade i suppose.

hahaha those cupcakes are hilar. that's totall you Tara. I like the fact that you have friends over every Thursday. Do they not have children? Why do you Tivo it if it comes on Thurs nights? I didn't know the office writers were on strike. As the Bennetts say, Bum-digby!

yup, they dont have kiddos yet so it's easy for them to come over. tivoed because we dont get together until around 9 or so. AND there's no commercials that way!

Hey Tara!! Just catching up on your blog. Love the office cookies! Sounds like something we would do. We LOVE The Office!! Is that not the FUNNIEST SHOW EVER??!! We're there every Thursday. Yes, big bummer about the strike. Jeremy found out something about the last time they had a strike like this and it lasted 22 months!!!! Don't know if we can handle that.

As I scrolled down, the "under neat" cake...very funny and the yellow taste??? Hmmm, very interesting. Great to catch up with you!! I always look forward to what you might have posted on your blog :)
