construction
I've never really done any demolition/construction work, but there's a first time for everything. Last night I drove up to Hammond to help out with the building. Asah was already there (he works there m-w-su). We were knocking down plaster off the walls to expose brick, and taking up the flooring. There were 3 or 4 layers of flooring. It was tough work! We were really nasty and sweaty afterwards. Both covered with dust. So there's what we were up to last night, and probably will be most Monday nights until August. That's when Crossroads is scheduled to begin services in the new building. Pretty cool.
Tonight is dinner club. The theme is "summer". Should be fun. I'm making finger sandwiches, and I made homemade pimeinto cheese spread for the first time. It's tons better than the store bought stuff.
Well, that's about all from the Crescent City.
Hope everyone is doing great.
By the way, we appreciate all the prayers and support over the past week. Many of you have emailed, called, sent cards and we appreciate it. God has been so good to us, and I am confident that His timing is perfect and that He will provide us a child when the time is right.
