the 7th and 8th months...
9 months old next week. What in the world? Enjoy the highlights from months 7 and 8. He's growing so fast!
Christmas this year was wonderful. We were able to celebrate with our son, as a family this year. It is amazing the "wonder" that comes back to Christmas when you have a little one. I enjoyed experiencing Christmas through Jordan's eyes this year. Here's a peek into our celebration(s). We spent a week with my family and Asah's.
we celebrated our first Christmas as a family last night. Daddy read Jordan the Christmas Story and we sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Jordan got a walker from Daddy and an outfit from Mommy...and a push behind toy from us both. He really liked the wrapping paper and trying to grab the cake!
jordan has REALLY been talking it up lately. we love to hear his little voice. in the mornings when he wakes up, in the car driving somewhere, or whenever we walk in the room he'll start a conversation. i gave him a spoon yesterday and he began to talk to it too. thought i'd share.
we took jordan to the french quarter for the first time yesterday. don't know why we waited so long. it was a FUN outing! Joseph and Carrie Seabolt, two of Asah's friends from college met us up on the northshore for church and then after lunch we went down, walked around, ate a very delicious dinner near Jackson Square and had beignets at Cafe Dumonde. Jordan was a FAN of the beignets...even though it was WAY past his bedtime. It got chilly and we ended up buying a blanket for him to cuddle up in his stroller in. After that he was good to go. He enjoyed his "bedtime bottle" while walking around the quarter and at Cafe DuMonde. We need to get down there more often. It was tons of fun!
well, crawling brings a whole new set of challenges for mommies and daddies. i decided to document just 5 minutes of our morning the other day to give you guys a taste of what life's like now that we have a "mobile one". take a look and enjoy!
J and I had a "photo shoot" today. I should've waited to send out our Christmas cards. He gave me some great shots. Here are my favorites.
