great weekend...

hey everyone, it's jordan. i haven't posted in awhile. we had a really good weekend.

mommy bought me this new toy at the $ store and i love it!!

we went for a walk in the park and daddy ended up carrying me cause i didn't want to be in my stroller!

we posed for some pictures. it was a really nice day.

in my new jogging stroller...

heading out. how cool do i look?

i played so hard on saturday that i fell asleep on the floor. i napped for over an hour this way until my hand it a toy that plays music. i just woke up and continued playing, right where i left off. mommy laughed so hard.

i grabbed the spoon during breakfast and got oatmeal EVERYWHERE. it was all in my hair. i had to have another bath.

2 weeks and.....

i'll be a stay at home (well, work at home) mommy! after 12 days of sickness for my little man, sleepless nights, lots of soul searching, asah and i came to the decision that i need to be at home with the little guy. i am so happy and at peace!
we're gonna be so poor, but so happy! i am in the process of starting my own work at home accounting and bookkeeping business...so please keep us in your prayers. my current employer will keep me on one day/week...asah's day off...so that will help out a lot at first. also helping is the fact that we no longer have to drop 500 DOLLARS on daycare each month. and that jordan will be with mommy all day!!!!! i am so so excited. will keep everyone posted!! in the meantime, what you've all been waiting for...the 5 month video. i can't believe jordan has a 1/2 birthday NEXT WEEK. our little man will be 6 months. wow.

enjoy. love to all,
the hudgins

update

well, it's been a crazy week. after 5 different meds we think Jordan's on his way to feeling better.

Recap of the week--

1. Last Saturday Jordan woke in the middle of the night with a terrible hoarse cough...the "croup". Monday I took him to the doc for congestion/cough/generally feeling yucky. He got a pretty strong steroid for his congestion/wheezing and cough syrup.

2. He jumped out of my arms Monday afternoon while I was trying to put him in a toy and hit his head on the floor (carpet in his room...THANK GOODNESS). Needless to say it freaked us both out, I cried more than he did.

3. He started acting strange and I didn't know if it was the meds or his fall. Got him checked out on Tuesday. By Thursday he was no better. Acting zombie like (and for all who know him...you know this isn't Jordan!!)

4. Friday took him to see his regular doctor, and she was awesome. He has a bad sinus infection and wheezing because he's congested and his coughs arent strong enough to knock out the congestion. We're now on albuterol and amoxil.

What a week! After sleepless nights and a few days with no smiles from our little guy, I must say that today is a new day and he's on the road to feeling better. I missed my happy boy this week!

Here are some pics from last night...he stayed with a babysitter while Asah and I took a much needed break and went to a Hibachi steakhouse for dinner! As you can see, the smiles are back and while he's still wheezing pretty bad..he's doing much better!

thanks jenn

these made me laugh hardcore. enjoy.

Church Bulletin Bloopers:

1. The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals.

2. The sermon this morning: "Jesus Walks on the Water." The sermon tonight:
"Searching for Jesus."

3. Our youth basketball team is back in action Wednesday at 8 PM in the
recreation hall. Come out and watch us kill Christ the King.

4. Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those
things not worth keeping around the house. Don't forget your husbands.

5. The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a
conflict.

6. Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community. Smile at
someone who is hard to love. Say "Hell" to someone who doesn't care much
about you.

7. Don't let worry kill you off -- let the Church help.

8. Miss Charlene Mason sang "I will not pass this way again," giving
obvious pleasure to the congregation.

9. For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery
downstairs.

10. Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the
help they can get.

11. Barbara remains in the hospital and needs blood donors for more
transfusions. She is also having trouble sleeping and requests tapes of
Pastor Jack's sermons.

12. The Rector will preach his farewell message after which the choir will
sing: "Break Forth Into Joy."

13. Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the
church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

14. A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music
will follow.

15. At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?"
Come early and listen to our choir practice.

16. Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of
several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.

17. Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled.
Proceeds will be used to cripple children.

18. Please place your donation in the envelope a long with the deceased
person you want remembered.

19. Attend and you will hear an excellent speaker and heave a healthy lunch.

20. The church will host an evening of fine dining, super entertainment and
gracious hostility.

21. Potluck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM - prayer and medication to follow.

22. The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may
be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

23. This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across
from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

24. Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM. All ladies
are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B. S. is done.

25. The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would
lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday.

26. Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the
back door.

27. The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church
basement Friday at 7 PM. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

28. Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.
Please use large double door at the side entrance.

29. The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new tithing campaign slogan
last Sunday: "I Upped My Pledge - Up Yours."
