Christmas 2006

Christmas this year was wonderful. We were able to celebrate with our son, as a family this year. It is amazing the "wonder" that comes back to Christmas when you have a little one. I enjoyed experiencing Christmas through Jordan's eyes this year. Here's a peek into our celebration(s). We spent a week with my family and Asah's.

Highlights:
Jordan meeting my brother, "Uncle Trent" for the first time
Playing with Great Granny Jean on the floor on Christmas Eve
Jordan's laughter at Uncle Tyler throwing keys in the air (video forthcoming)
Jordan playing with his cousins...Sumner and Daniel and Alida
Being with family
A date with Asah in Tallahassee (thanks Mimi and Papa for babysitting :)

happy Birthday Baby Jesus!

we celebrated our first Christmas as a family last night. Daddy read Jordan the Christmas Story and we sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. Jordan got a walker from Daddy and an outfit from Mommy...and a push behind toy from us both. He really liked the wrapping paper and trying to grab the cake!
Merry Christmas!

conversation with a spoon and shoelace....

jordan has REALLY been talking it up lately. we love to hear his little voice. in the mornings when he wakes up, in the car driving somewhere, or whenever we walk in the room he'll start a conversation. i gave him a spoon yesterday and he began to talk to it too. thought i'd share.
we also "think" he can say "hey". when we walk in the room he gives a long drawn out "heeeeeyyyy". so adorable.
enjoy the video...

j's first trip to the quarter...

we took jordan to the french quarter for the first time yesterday. don't know why we waited so long. it was a FUN outing! Joseph and Carrie Seabolt, two of Asah's friends from college met us up on the northshore for church and then after lunch we went down, walked around, ate a very delicious dinner near Jackson Square and had beignets at Cafe Dumonde. Jordan was a FAN of the beignets...even though it was WAY past his bedtime. It got chilly and we ended up buying a blanket for him to cuddle up in his stroller in. After that he was good to go. He enjoyed his "bedtime bottle" while walking around the quarter and at Cafe DuMonde. We need to get down there more often. It was tons of fun!

this one is before church yesterday morning. i snapped it cause i thought he looked WAY cute...and so much more like a toddler than a baby. he is GROWING UP quickly!

silly morning!

J was making me laugh hard this moring. pardon the sleepy eyes and crusty nose. he was fresh out of bed and in a SILLY mood.

chasing jordan...

well, crawling brings a whole new set of challenges for mommies and daddies. i decided to document just 5 minutes of our morning the other day to give you guys a taste of what life's like now that we have a "mobile one". take a look and enjoy!

found a fly swatter....

plays with it for a bit...

into the kitchen...

fun with the kitchen mat...

oh, the joys! it's a lot of fun to see him "discover" the rest of the house though. we'll be babyproofing SOON.

shouldve waited....

J and I had a "photo shoot" today. I should've waited to send out our Christmas cards. He gave me some great shots. Here are my favorites.

Pray for us...now mommy's sick. I am scared it's the flu. Fever, achy, chills, nausea, cold symptoms. Daddy is taking care of Jordan and I'm in bed. PRAY that Jordan and Asah do not get whatever I have.
