desperate housewives....

my friends and i started a new "thing" recently and I really enjoy it. it's a mommy's group and it has become pretty popular. seems like many mom's have a "need" to connect with other moms and get out of the house. we're also starting to read a book and discuss it...i'm really excited. one of the ladies husbands dubbed it the "desperate housewives meeting". funny. kinda true. enjoy the pics of all the kiddies playing together. heres a link to my friends blog where she wrote about it too.

paci's back

after a 3 month hiatus, jordan loves the paci again. he found one one day and put it in his mouth, now he loves the thing again. i had to buy a few new ones...i hope it doesn't become too bad a habit...but it really helps at naptime. here's our cute little paci lovin baby.

pancakes for Jordan

For the past couple weeks we've been transitioning from baby food to big boy food. I've tried to be creative at breakfast time, and yesterday Jordan enjoyed his first pancakes. He LOVED them.

we stay on our toes these days...

he's more of a "toddler" than a baby now....we treasure our cuddle time (when he first wakes up, rocking for naps, etc). otherwise it's Go, Go, Go for the little guy. he is really showing LOTS of personality now and we love it.

he can say "da da" and "hey there". when daddy walks into a room it's "heeeeyyy da da". so cute.

i can't believe we'll be planning a first birthday in a couple months.....

quick update....

Jordan's 9 month stats:

23 lbs 10 oz (90%)
30 inches (95%)
head = 18 inches

BIG boy! healthy man...doc said he looks great and is growing strong!

on the other hand, mommy got a really BAD and violent stomach flu over the weekend. i was in bed from sunday afternoon until tuesday with a 2 hour break of going to the hospital's walk in clinic for a shot of phinagren and zofran perscription. nothing would shake the nausea and i was vomitting every 15 min or so...it was ruff!!! yesterday it magically went away except my throat was sore from being sick and abs hurt. i lost 5 more lbs from that! a good kickstart to our diet...but not the way i would've wanted....

Hog roast at our friend's place. This was something we've never seen before but such a good time. Jordan was sleeping away in the "babies room" with another 6 month old and a 5 month old. He heard the fireworks, woke up crying, and all the other babies followed suit. I took J home for his crib and daddy stayed for the rest of the fireworks.
