jordan was cracking me up this afternoon. i gave him a doggie blanket and he insisted on eating it. everytime i handed it to him it went into his mouth....thought i'd capture it on video. he was also super talkative and hyper.....great material for a mini movie!

my wonderful little sleeper....

well, it's 5am, and jordan's been sleeping since SEVEN!!!!! this is the 3rd time that he's gone all the way to 5, and he's still not awake yet. wow. a breakthrough. so i'm awake waiting on him to wake up and i figured i'd post a few recent pics.

FLASHBACK TWO MONTHS AGO. Can you believe how much he's grown!?!?!?!?

i forgot to brush my teeth this morning....

ever had one of those mornings? if you haven't just wait till you have an infant!!!
jordan's been sick all weekend (allergies or cold or something)....he was up 3 times last night with congestion. this morning i "slept in" till 6, pulled my hair up, threw on the outfit i wore to church yesterday, packed bottles and lunch and got jordan up to feed him his morning bottle. i was feeling quite successful when we made it out the door on time and headed out to daycare.
then it hit me....i slid my tongue over my teeth and realized, "nope, didn't brush em!!" thats a pretty easy fix, so no biggie.
then i look back in the mirror and see jordan projectile spitting up all over the carseat and himself. next he sneezes and green snot is all over his face. sweet.
so we park at daycare and i come to get him out of the seat and he gives me the hugest grin ever. spit up, snot and all. it was awesome.
just so you know, i had an extra 5 minutes and stopped by the quickie mart on the way to work. i am the proud owner of a new toothbrush and sample size crest toothpaste, which i fully intend on keeping at work....this will likely happen again!!!

jordan ROLLED OVER today.
he was in his crib and i was hanging up some outfits in his closet...saw it out of the corner of my eye...i was so thrilled! he looked awful proud of himself, and really confused! he was craning his neck to see something on his bumper and flipped over. our little boy is growing up!!!

well, jordan doesn't really like cereal....can you tell by these pics??? we're gonna give it a few days before trying again......at least he was all smiles by the end of it. we're having so much fun with him.

3 years ago....

our THREE YEAR anniversary is today.

in that time we have:

moved 4 times (Austell apt, Home in Austell, Closet in New Orleans, apt in Tickfaw)
lived in 3 cities (Austell, New Orleans, Tickfaw)
experienced America's worst natural disaster (Katrina)
bought a house
tried to sell a house
served in full time ministry
served on staff at a church plant
GRADUATED seminary
had six birthdays between us (24, 25, 26)
felt the pain of a miscarriage
experienced the JOY of our first child (nothing compares)

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven (Ecc 3:1)

SO thankful for all the seasons in our lives,

i'm back!

sorry..... it's been a little while i guess. i've been a busy man. as you can see from yesterday's post....i was finally able to steal daddys computer and get back online. here's what i've been up to:

just yesterday i met a new friend. he just showed up in my crib same time as me. i really enjoy our conversations and hope he visits often!

he's a really awesome guy. in fact, we look a lot alike. and when i talk and move, so does he. weird.

mommy was playing with the camera and trying to get a close up of my blue eyes. she thinks they are really awesome.

i like to stretch out in my crib. what a feeling!


i love the weekends. mommy and daddy are usually both home and they hold me a lot. this past week i started something new. for 3 days i go to a place with other babies and hang out. it's not so bad. my teachers are nice and there are swings and bouncy seats. i'm one of only a couple guys there too. on wednesday when mommy came to pick me up i had pee peed on my teacher. oops. she was cool about it though. i take longer naps at my daycare than i do at home. mommy says i'm a little stinker!

i went to the doctor on friday. they like to weigh me and check on me and stuff every month. this time i was 14 lbs 10 oz and 25 in long. the doctor says i'm in the 75th percentile whatever that means. he also told mommy that i need some cereal!!!! he said i'm drinking so much and had doubled my birthweight so she could try some with me. i tried it the other day but spit it all out. i just wanted my bottle instead!!! i really didn't appreciate her putting this hard plastic spoon in my mouth. hmmmmm. he said i was a "fine young man" and growing so nicely. he also said i could be getting my first tooth soon! he felt my gums and noticed the drool. i have been drooling a lot lately.

well, i have a bottle calling my name.
