2 of UGA's 2024 recruiting class...

we went down to new orleans on tuesday to meet up with some friends. charlie was born 3 weeks before jordan and they had fun playing together. chad is a friend of mine (tara's) from Tifton and he and asah got to know each other at seminary in Atlanta! jordan weighs in at about 4 lbs heavier and 2 inches shorter than charlie. it's so funny to see the differences in build. J will be playing Defense for sure!!!! fun times....

so it's either the breathing treatments OR the fact that he felt a little better yesterday...but J was SO hyper. here's a video that captures a bit of the madness. he was cracking us up!

a couple more from this week....

RAD is not so rad.

10pm last night. jordan wakes up pulling for air and having trouble breathing. we load up very quickly and head to the ER. checked his blood oxygen levels and gave a breathing treatment and prednisone (steroid). released around 1:30 am. went to pediatrician today for followup and he was diagnosed with RAD. Reactive airway disease. similar to asthma, but cannot diagnose asthma this young so this is what we have. yuck. breathing treatments every 6 hours for 4 days until his wheezing dies down. not fun times in the hudgins household!
please say a prayer for the little guy. he's taking it like a champ but sure scared mommy and daddy last night. we are praying he gets good sleep tonight.
we need sleep too!
will update more/post pics when i can think more clearly!

tis true! i haven't really had the chance to write out the ways in which He's confirmed our decision for me to stay at home with Jordan...but I had to share the latest. tonight was "community night" at church, where we all get together for a meal and fellowship. well, one of the ladies in our church, actually a mother and daughter came up to me tonight and presented me with a case of diapers and 2 boxes of wipes. she said that God had laid it on her heart to get those for us. and that she would continue to give us a pack of diapers each month. just something God told her to do! wow. up until now we haven't had to buy many diapers because of donations given after Hurricane Katrina. well, we're running low and jordan's about to go up a size and the ladies had bought the perfect size and they came at the right time! i am amazed at how HE provides for our every need, right down to diapers and wipes. just had to share....
and while i'm sharing might as well post another pic or two of our little bundle of joy. he makes me smile and laugh so much each day....we are so blessed.

i tried my hand at making a diaper cake for a shower tomorrow. what do ya'll think? could i start making these bad boys and charging 80 bucks like all the websites do???? shhhh don't tell, but asah even helped roll all these diapers!!!

busy week!

sorry no posts this week. it's been busy!
first things first. Jordan is SIX MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!! where did this half of a year go!?!?!?!
stats:
20 lbs 1 oz 90th percentile
27 inches 75th percentile
17 inches (head)
we got shots today...no more till one year old now!
Doctor said Jordan looks great! We have another tooth coming in the top now too. 3 teeth!

officially a tummy sleeper now, and it's so cute. this is what he looks like when i go in to wake him in the mornings he has daycare. pretty soon that will end and he can sleep IN. yay!!!!
