my baby is so sick

EDITED 04/20 am: it was TONSILITIS!!!! just a really bad case. now that the antibiotic is in his system he should feel better in a day or so. explains the not eating and fever for sure. the virus was just on top of that. poor little fella!

Jordan's not been Jordan in 4 days and it's killing me. In fact, the entire Hudgins family has been under the weather the past few days, but J definitely has the worst. I suspect the flu but i could be wrong. I've never, ever seen him act like this. Today he was actually laying in the recliner moaning. His fever has come and gone now for 4 days and he seems to be hurting. It all started Wednesday with vomitting and diarreah, but then that ended on Thursday and since then it's just been a lethargic, non eating, miserable Jordan. We want our J back soon!
I'm kicking myself for not taking him in sooner. This weekend has been looooong as we wait on the pedi to open up tomorrow morning. Say a little prayer for him and hopefully we'll find out tomorrow whats bugging our little man.

today at the "well check" we found out that jaxon has-

-an ear infection

-sinus infection

-atopic dermatitis

now we have lots of creams and lotions for bathtime, an antibiotic for the infections, and are praying this little sweetie is on the mend.

no shots today due to the sickness...

23 lbs even
28 inches

his weight gain is tapering off a bit.

at 6 months Jordan weighed 20 lbs 1 oz.

my big boy will be THREE! where is the time going????

we're planning a big "fiesta" here at the Hudgins house! we are super excited.

on the homefront, both boys are still battling the crud. both cough non-stop throughout the day and night. it has been 3 weeks now. my patience is wearing then and i'm slap worn out. i pray and pray and pray for relief for them. we've tried different meds/combinations of meds/no meds; etc. the doctor wanted them both on the steroid prednisone to which i responded a resounding NO WAY. jordan's been on that a few times in his short life and the outcome was always terrible side effects. night terrors, zombie like state, personality changes. i won't even attempt to put jaxon through that. we are hoping once the weather levels out their symptoms will too. but for now it's breathing treatment upon breathing treatment until they have relief. i'll end with a picture of my other favorite little "big" guy this week:

been two weeks + now. both boys have been feeling crummy. monday was the worst, jordan ran a fever and we finally took them both to the doctor. jordan's is asthma + upper respiratory infection; jaxon's is just the crud. thankfully he hasnt gotten as bad as Jordan. for the past few nights; both have slept better. they still have the awful cough, but i'm hopeful that they're on the mend.

please pray for the little guys. Both are fighting some pretty nasty chest congestion and coughs and today Jordan began running a fever. I thought it was just his asthma but now I know there is more to it. We are heading to the doctor this afternoon. They've both been fighting it for two weeks now and we've had many sleepless nights. I am exhausted.

past few days

past few days havent been the funnest. jordan came down with a stomach virus thursday night. after puking for 24 hours and having some bad diarreah which led to a bad rash that we had to go to the doctor for; he seems to be on the mend.
meanwhile, jaxon is teething in full force and needs to be held lots so mommy and daddy are very tired.

i had bought a bunch of produce and wanted to make jax's babyfood this weekend, despite the yucky sickness so i sat him in his new highchair and let him watch me while asah tended to jordan. we managed to get everything made and i'm pleased with the outcome.
we did butternut squash, carrots, peas, bananas, plums, pears, apples, and sweet potatoes. i think i have enough to last a loooong time too. so worth the time it took, in my opinion.
