so, subway has a promo going right now...any footlong for $5. not a bad deal. i dont eat an entire footlong in one sitting...i'm more of a 6 incher...but you can always split lunch with a friend, share with your husband, or save it for another meal.

my little brother graduates from Drill Instructor School today with the USMC. That's pretty awesome.

this morning

so this morning things were going fairly well; i'd managed to get myself and jordan dressed, fed and all of our things together for a day at the pregnancy center.

i strapped J into his carseat and threw my keys in the drivers seat. after i shut his door i heard a "Click". And my heart sank. He'd locked himself, my keys, purse, and cell phone in the car.

Nice. Not a problem unless your husband is overseas on a mission trip and not a "phone call away".

i tried to think fast and saw that my neighbor's car was there. so i ran over and used her cell phone and phone book to call a locksmith. then we both stood outside the windows trying to coax jordan to unlock the door. 30 minutes later the locksmith came and popped it open.

Here's the awesome part. I grabbed my checkbook and he told me there was no charge. I almost cried! God knew we not afford the $50-75 fee....and he sent the right man to come and unlock the car. In fact, I'd called 3 other ones before him and no one answered. Just a reminder of God's faithfulness and goodness to us.

jordan wasn't too into the easter egg hunt festivities this year, but he loved it when asah made announcements at the event. here is jordan trying to be just like daddy.

i'm a Big Kid now.

well, not really. but getting closer. Jordan's been all about the toilet as of late, so we are in the (very) beginning stages of potty training. i would like to not go the Pull-ups route, so we want to stick with the real deal underwear. I feel like he'll feel when he's wet better this way and make more of an effort to go. We'll see how that works.

He's been pee-peeing on the potty in the evenings when we're home like a champ. The other night we decided to bring out the Elmo undies. Here he is snuggling with daddy and enjoying his new underwear. Such a boy.

good things come to those who wait!

we were delayed exactly one month...but we got to celebrate Vday last night. it was absolutely wonderful. here are some pictures. i loved being on the boat with asah. we both said it felt like 5 years ago when we were dating. we had a wonderful time together just talking, holding hands and looking out on the river. very romantic and just a great getaway!





the engine room. this was pretty amazing to see how the boat worked and all. it was also the warmest room on the steamboat and i wanted to spend most of my night there. i forgot a coat and was cold!

i had another ultrasound today and we're thinking PINK! the past couple times we've seen the distinct three lines. will know for certain at the "big" ultrasound next month, but i'm pretty thrilled at the thought of a precious baby girl. here she is today....

domino's deal

i don't know if this is just our area or not, but it's worth calling and checking. Last night I called to order a pizza...and they had a deal where a Medium One topping was only....you ready for this.....3.99! That's the cheapest I've ever seen a pizza. Anyway, each add'l topping was only $1. So we ended up with a $4 dinner. Cant beat that. May be buying a few to freeze!

here's a sad comparison.

in some parts of the country...you can get a whole pizza for the same amount as.....a gallon of gas.

Pleeeeaaassseee stop calling me.

i had a total of 6 sales calls while jordan was napping (and while i tried to nap in between calls).

-A "Final Notice" that our vehicle warranty was about to expire. Funny, but I've gotten the FINAL notice call 10 + times in the past couple weeks. This was a recording.

-Someone called from PHC? on behalf of Charter. Click.

-Someone called on behalf of New Orleans Seminary then asked if they could leave a # then never got back on the phone.

-A credit card offer. Nuff said.

-Someone from the "LA Fraternal Order of Police". I'm always skeptical of this one.

-Finally, my favorite...a guy from Allstate offered me a FREE insurance quote. FREE! can you imagine that? I told him that if I ever had to pay for an insurance quote, or if anyone had to pay for a quote for anything they were loony. I also told him we'd just renewed our Auto Insurance and were quite happy where we were.
(This was the 6th call and I was fed up)

I think it must be the Pregnancy Hormones, or the fact I was trying to get a little nap in...or the fact someone had rung the doorbell right as Jordan drifted off to sleep trying to sell me some Tupperware....anyway, it just wasnt' the most restful afternoon. Now that we're both up the phone quit ringing. I think we're heading outside in the sunshine to cheer up!

when are you due?

got my first "when are you due?" at the park on saturday. my belly is offically starting to grow, much sooner than it did with J i might add. no complaints though. just means the baby is growing nicely too. thought i'd share a pic.
